The Legend of Rawhide Parade will be at 4:30 o'clock, Saturday, July 10, starting at the fairgrounds. If you are interested in being in the parade please contact the Legend of Rawhide office or the Chamber of Commerce.

The Legend of Rawhide Dances featuring Chancey Williams & the Younger Brothers, will follow after each nights' performance. There will be a free dance on Thursday night open to the whole community. The Thursday dance will be from 9:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m., Friday & Saturday until 2 a.m.

The Legend of Rawhide will be sponsoring a Saddle/Cash Raffle again this year. The Legend is offering a saddle to be raffled or $1000.00 in cash. Raffle tickets prices are as follows: one (1) ticket for $5.00; or five (5) tickets for $20.00.

The winner of the raffle will be given the choice of either receiving the saddle or the $1,000.00. If the holder of the winning ticket elects to take the $1,000.00 in prize money, then the saddle will be immediately auctioned off on the night of July 10 at the dance.

Tickets can be purchased from any board member and may be purchased up until the raffle drawing takes place.

An auction will be held immediately following the Saddle/Cash Raffle. Various items will be available at the auction, including a belt buckle and spurs. A complete list of items will be made available at a later date.

The Niobrara County Library presents “Indiana Bones”, combining archeology, action, adventure, ancient legends, mythology and folklore. Indy thrills and educates audiences with his unique storytelling abilities. Plan to attend this fun-filled program!

We will be having a 50/50 raffle prior to and through the pre-show of both performances. The 50/50 raffle goes to support the Legend of Rawhide Scholarship Fund. A winner will be announced at the end of the pre-show before the performances begin.

The poker event will be held July 10, beginning at 11 am and will last until finished. It will be held at the Niobrara County Fairgrounds Barn. The proceeds go to the Niobrara County Library Foundation Endowment Fund. The cost is $35.00, which includes lunch for the first 50 paid players. There will be re-buys and add-on extras. Lunch will be at 1 pm. If you are a spectator, you can purchase lunch at the event for $5.00. We will be having Closest to the Pin Contest on July 10th, 9 a.m., at the Niobrara County Fairgrounds Closest to the Pin will pay out a 50/50 split. The cost of the Closest to the Pin is a dollar a shot. The proceeds of this go to the Legend of Rawhide Scholarship Fund.

The Flag Ceremony is celebrated at both performances of the Legend of Rawhide. The ceremony is designed and choreographed by Jessie Sturman.
